Update Update After a Very Long Silence .....

Well, hi everyone... miss me  ? Ok.. here goes my new entry after a very longggggg silence. Actually nothing interesting really happened after the Cake Day entry, if there was any, I don't think they were worth to say in the fotopages...
Anyway.. quite a LOT had happened in April.. I might say this is the busiest month of all. Why do I say that? Basically looking in my diary there is quite a long list of things will be going on... of course at the top of the list is the academic work aka mengadap Yg Pertuan Besar... then the sayonara of Dr. Zul S and his family (bye bye angkatan ku... sok sek sok sek), next big thing was the arrival of my little (but not his size ) brother on the 15th. Very early on the very same day... we were already in the national coach to London. Reached Malaysian Embassy around 10am.. settling pur passport matters.. by noon we had planned to bring Sannah and Damia to experience the dinasour world at the National History Museum London.. unfortunately on the way to Hyde Park Underground Station, Sannah was throwing out.. so we have decided to cancel the plan and just spent the afternoon at the nearby park. At quarter past 3, we went back to collect the documents and by half past 4, all of us already at the Heathrow T3. We were so excited but the excitement was just a short one.... AYOOOOOO his flight was delayed for an hour.... so we just sat there praying that everything goes smooth so that we can catch our coach back to Nottingham at haplf past 8. Alhamdulillah... around 6:30pm there he was... my brother... walking past Jon and not noticing him. I has to shout at him to make him stop and turn around to look at us iskkkkkkk!!!! Weiii my big brother has sunken quiet a lot .. he's a lot slimmer now... which makes me so so jealous.... arghhhhhh this cannot happened... I need to do something......  ....
So to make it short, we were on the national coach again at 8:25pm... punyelah gabra takut lepas bas.... nayer nak kena bayo tiket lagi... finally our day journey ended around 12 midnight... as for my brother.. his journey ended after a gruiling plus minus 24 hours.... hahahahahaha.

Cake Day!!!

Last Thursday, after several days being nagged by Leia to make her cake..., I took some times to satisfy her. Actually on her last day of school right before the Easter break she brought home a cup cake. Her classroom made these themselves. The cake was quite cute with two easter egg chocolates on it and of course a little easter chick which she loves a lot (and had been the reason of both girls fighting after that day).
Oki doki... here is the recipe... written by Leia herself...
So I had the girls to break the shredded wheat into a bowl while I melted the chocolate... Of course Damia was really excited having the freedom to do whatever she wants given the wheat, bowl and a big spoon... in fact almost 1/4 of the shredded wheats were on the carpet rather than inside the bowl... takpa la... yg penting she was not crying. Half an hour later here are the cakes. What I can say is that these were made by Leia... I only help with mixing the chocolate with the wheat, the rest was leia's.
See... they looks yummy right... and that is exactly how they taste!!!

Tiba-tiba... aku seorang Photographer!

Asm all,
Probably a short entry since it is almost 3 in the morning. Just finished editing the photos taken on last Monday event. I have promised the comittee in charged that I will hand in all the photos taken latest by tomorrow (isk betul ke eja ni... macma pelik la plak... tapi malas nak carik dalam kamus... takpa la ekkkk mohon maaf..). Though I am not convinced that I can do it but finally they were done on time (tak sia-sia satu hari aku mengadapnya)... I just need to print them out.
 this is actually a bidang terjun... pssssttt jangan heboh2 ..malu you! This is the story...
This all started last week when my hubby was asked by an ISOC committe whether I can be a photographer at their Womens Ball 2008 event... Ya Allah terkejut beruk jugak la.. why they asked for me???? Hmmmmhhh I wonder this myself and at last my thought just saying that maybe my body posture when shooting pictures looks like a professional oneeee kelako kelako kelako.... tak pun maybe terkena tempias my hubby kot... sebabnya dia yang terror bab2 photography ni...anyway to admit that I don't know anything about it too is not right. I can take quite good photos and sometimes my angles are better than my hubby ye haaaaaa!!! Bila tiba cam ni.. bangganyer tak terkata... apa lagi masuk bakul angkat sendiri la!
Ok lets continue... frankly I was very very reluctant to do the favour... though they promised to take care of my daughters (ye la... cik abgku kerje kan since the event starts at 6pm till 11pm). Ntah macamana.. tak tahu la angin apa my hubby... he suddenly surprised the AJKs on the day of the event itself. Around half past three on the day, he showed up with his portable photography gears... apa lagi terkejut beruk la AJKs semua especially dia punya pengarahla.. dok cot cet cot cet kata tak boleh male photographer la... itu la ini la... last2 my hubby kata its not him but me who will be in charge.. ayooooooo!!! He promised me that he will wait for me outside the ballroom and if anything happened, just give him a ring and he will try to resolve it.
Hmmmm dengan perasan gundah gulana... tapi menten machooooo aku pun apa lagi dok la berposing ala2 profesional photographer ... and a short while dah ada pelanggan... hmmm apa lagi .. ku bedal je la....
So wanna knoW how the pictures coming out??? Well of course la.... GREAT resultsss!!! Many thanks to the setup set by Jon Claypac Photoshoot !!!!

Happy Mother's Day To Me!!!!

Yesterday.. 2nd March 2008 was Mother's Day... not that we celebrate it every year.. but this year it was quite special.... though I received my wishes a little sooner than the exact day... but who cares... I am happy. It was a surprise... I don't know how my hubby got to hide it from me... he even share the secret with Leia...
Let me brief through the days before Sunday 2nd March 2008.
On Thursday, Leia was having her Art Club so I went to get her at quarter to five. She was hiding something in her jacket and so reluctant to let me see it. When we reach home, she even asked me not to get in the house before she could hide whatever she want to hide. So... she managed to find a perfect place and by Saturday morning I totally had forgotten about it. So Saturday came and we're quite excited about it since this is the only day that daddy is not working so we really looking forward to spend the day with him. At 2pm, we went to my school since daddy had some project of himself to print and then we pay a visit to our landlord's house (aka to pay the rent la...). Around 8pm me and my hubby decided to watch a movie... of course with our mini cinema  . Half way suddenly Leia told me she wanted to go to the toilet and amazingly my hubby go after her... that is very unnormal heheheh since I am always the one looking after the girls when they wanted to pay a visit to the smallest room in the house..(in fact the smallest toilet of all Malaysians' houses in Nottingham I think ). Since Damia had already fast asleep... I got myself downstair too .. it felt weird at that time since my hubby was so rajin attending Leia eheheheh.... when she finished, she straight away got upstair back (which is also a bit weird since she is one penakut girl I know). She was asking a pen. I stayed downstairs making a cup of coffee and had a chat with my hubby. Suddenly Leia pop back in the living room and hand me a .................. CARD!!!!!
WOW.... it really surprise me.... do you want to know why... by the look of the card, I am sure it was from my HUBBY..... he bought me a Mothers Day card... that really felt good....to be appreciated in that way!!! Look a the card... isn't it awesome!!!!
 
And of course at last Leia show me her card which of course she made it during her Art Club .. you should remember... the one she tried to hide from me heheheheh...
and her wishes too...

23 FEBRUARY 2008 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUBBY!!!

The plan is.... to buy him a birthday card and that's it. On Friday 22/2/2008 I seek his permission to go and get him the card at the City Centre. He keep quiet for a while, no respond from him and at last he asked me... "When are you going Ibu... it's already 10:00am.. ?" I was jumping with joy.. of course just within me.. cannot show maaaaa nanti cancel plak . I was too excited... the idea of cruzing the city centre just by myself... hmmm have not been able to have that moment since my first daughter was born. It always me and the pushchair. To add to the excitement.... my hubby gave me GBP20 to spend... hmmm nowadays that amount is so precious to me ... you all will know when you guys get in the same situation like us now .
So just 15 past 10am I was ready with my trainers on and saying babai to hubby and Misheal Damia. She sent me to the door waving her 5 small fingers saying bye2... while closing the door as if she was saying .. " get off mum... hurry back ".
So to make it short the cruzing took me 3 hours... that wasn't planned of course. The 1st stop... the card shop of course... but the first attempt was a failure. I was out from the shop without any card... way tooooo expensive and not so meaningful wordings' cards. Next I was in and out from shops bit by bit I got all my lists in my hands and they getting heavier arghhhhhh.... the thing is there was still no card in the bags... eventually my feets were getting aching... plus my fingers were all turning to bluewish from holding all the heavy shopping bags hahahhha (as if... what can you get with GBP 20??????)
Ok... naik boring plak nak citer ni.... to make it short at last I got into the CARD SHOP in Broadmash SC. Suddenly I saw an eye catching card "For my Dad..." quickly grabbed that one and making I don't know... about 3 x 360 degrees the shop and set on a card... "For you Husband...". Hurry pay them and off to my main 2nd destination.............. the "GIFT". After the diamond ring scene I just cannot hand him a piece of card right! I only had one thing in my mind.... and the next stop is "the PERFUME shop". Got in and with no second thought.... "I am looking something for my hubby" to the shop assistant.... 15 minutes lates I was on my way back home....and it was late already.... .
Back at home, I was so tired most probabyly due to my weight gain these few years ... and feeling like throwing myself at the sofa lying flat but... I can'ttttttt I need to get Leia from school.... right after my hubby left for work that evening... I was pushing Damia and holding Leia to buy him a birthday cake... since Leia was so so excited to choose one herself for her daddy. An hour later we're back at home with the cake. I just couldn't described the tiredness in me and at last I just couldn't stand anymore.... and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz though Damia tries to wake me every 5 minutes.... I was thinking to write the card right after waking up buttttt...only manage to do it just before mindnigt....me and Leia wrote our cards and when its time to wish my hubby.... there he was................ already comfy in the duvetttttttttttttt sleepinggggggggggggggg arggggggghhhh.....
The next morning.... when Leia woke up she already buzy asking her dad whether he has read her card or not.... Finally we got the chance to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.... and Leia gave her card to daddy and I gave him mine. I have decided to surprise him with the gift a little bit later.... . I went to cook curry mee for him... don't what else to cook hehehehe.... dah asyik dok dapur je... tukang masak pun surrender you know... yang tak best nyer on a special day plak tukang masak rasa tak larat hahahaha. Anyway we have something else to do that day and I can only manage to prepare that within the time frame given... and of course my hubby said he don't mind at all what ever I cooked for him that day.
 
Leia's wishes for her daddy....
 
Since we don't have the time to have the celebration at home, we've decided to bring the cake and food to K.Fidah's house since there was chores to do prior to NMC Sukan Musim Sejuk 2008 on the next day. So while chatting... we have the birthday boy to cut the cake and these shows his happy face... happy sungguh dia though dah tua jangan marah bang!!!!!
 
 
 
We left Muzammil's house around half past eight at night and went to Sani's house since my hubby had a photograph session with Basri. Around 11pm we left for home. I still hasn't had the opportunity to give the gift yet.... I was thinking of doing so just before the night turned 24th Feb 2008 heheheheh.... So busy making the PERDANA trophy....I forgot about the time..... it was 15 minutes past midnight and I finally hand him the gift.......... and you know what he said....."Dah lepas dahhhhhhhhhhh..." cet!!! Anyway he was thrilled .... and happy... Don't believe me... look at these pictures

Our Mini Cinema...

At last.. here I present our opppssss not really actually, I can't say it ours. I don't really participate in the making it was just my hubby. He made the mini cinema screen himself. He finished building it a few weeks ago and it only took him all in all about 3 days. We have had quite a number of audiences since then. Now we don't really have any more reasons to go to the cinema (like we have been to one - the last time was dated about 8 years back .. maybe!!!).. we've got it here !!!! I suppose I have to forget about LCD TV then .
 
Don't mind the wallpaper... we do not have anything to do with it ..

The First Snow Drops in Nottingham

We were a little bit unlucky this year with the winter season... though it was really cold there was no snow at all.. pity my Leia since she has been wishing to have snow fights, snowman and snow sliding like she had 2 years back. Eventually at the end of last week, we finally saw a few miracle drops of snow ... that was enough to make Leia shouting and giggling in excitement. Look at these photos.... they were taken using Leia's Panasonic DMC-FZ2 camera.. lately my hubby D80 and all its gears are very seldom in action... well... he was busy on something else... muhahahaha.... this time it was the XBOX and mini cinema .
 
The first few drops of snow. They look more like the rain drops in bigger sizes.
Sian dia... tu je la dapat rasa snow... this most probably be the last time she will see the snow drops.. who knows she might have another chance a bit later in her near future...

OUR ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

This morning right after sending Leia to school I sat in front of my laptop. Before that I noticed there was a piece of A4 paper covering my keypads and I just don't think of anything since my hubby was sawing some pieces of woods late last night and I just thought he don't wanna all the dust sticking on them. There was an unexpected email last night and I am trying to get through the server to reply it but it kept saying connection failed... so I assumed nothing was being delivered and thinking of resending the email in the earliest morning.
I picked the paper up and to my surprised  there was a card under it...
"For HONEY my wife....
I was a bit puzzled and kept thinking ... uuuhhh what is the ocassion??? It is not my birthday... not him too... whyyyyyy.......... o ohhhhhhhhhhh..... and when I turned the card over .. there it was..
HAPPY ANNYVERSARY...
I was in shocked but.. I put it aside first because I am so worry about the email I wanted to send yesterday night.. then my hubby returned home from his morning work... but my eyes were on my laptop screen... and then I noticed my email was sent since I have got a reply from the recipient which by the way was not a good news...  . Still no words to my hubby as I was then busy writing and an email replying the sv. Ok... settle the most important things and then only I turned my attention to the card.
I was smiling the biggest smile to my hubby... and give him a kiss on the cheek saying thank you for remembering and of course apologising since I did not remember the day at allllll!!! I don't know why but I realised for the past few years (probably after 2 years doing my PhD) I am quite forgetful expecially our annivesary... I think it was my hubby too who remembered it last year... why why why.. what's happening to me... getting old maybe .

and as I turned inside the card, I suddenly felt warm and out of nowhere my tears running so so fast down my cheeks as I read word by word printed in the card ....
and then I turned to last page and it had me the most!!!! I was crying and crying and crying ...
Well my hubby is not a person with lots of gestures but when he did shows one I felt breathless and wordless .. so with tears still running like showers I gave him a hug and thank him again... I then wept my tears try to make it stop. I thought that was it because normally for our anniversary we don't really plan anything... always I will cooked something special and wish that our love will last forever. Suddenly he hand me a green box :surprised: my heart suddenly stopped... and I looked at him and says ... what is this??? what is this??? I then opened it and I just couldn't stop crying.. this time it was worst than the first time... the tears were like a water stream.. kept running down ... he gave me a
DIAMOND RING!!!!!!
With tears I asked him why he bought me the ring since we're don't really have the luxury to do so at this time.. but then he whispered to me.. asking me not to worry about it.. he knows I always wanted a ring especially diamond ring hahahaha because I always well you can says "nag" him about buying me one ... the big one with a solitaire on it ... but deep down in my heart I know that it may take me a while to get one from him since he always saying back.. you've got loads of them .. why do you need more?hahahaha!!!! To make it short I don't think I will get one....hehehehe
Anyway... the ring fits me right on the spot... and it looks beautiful on my finger
Ok.. so after some times... I was able to stop crying and feeling guilty of not remembering this day at all I went straight to the kitchen to cook something special. I have had quite a long list in my mind but then I have to cut it one by one from the list because time envies me hahaha... so today... I have cooked
Nasi Minyak (colourful one) + Ayam Masak Merah + Acar + Papadom ... thinking of making bingka roti but until now still tak nampak batang idung bingka tu lagi hahahaha...
 
 
To my beloved hubby, thank you for the precious 8 years we have shared together... thank you for the two beautiful daughters we have and most of all, thank you for being there for me always, for being there when I am smiling and laughing, for being there when I am sad and sorrow, for being there when I am angry and for being there when I am lost...Thank you for being my friend and my love one. Happy 8th Anniversary Sayang.

Christmas Lunch

Last Sunday we were invited for a pre-Christmas lunch. It was my SV. This was the second time he invited us for lunches.. as usual the invitation came out as a surprise as we (his students) did not anticipate this but all of us were really grateful. On the day I made Bingka Roti Berlauk (sorry don't know how to name it in English ) and a little bit overwhelmed with the compliments from those who never taste this before... actually this is my third time baking it... nasib baik jadikkk cantikkkk gitu... kalau tak.. makan sendiri je la!!!! Don't know with the rest but I myself did enjoy the lunch. Thank youuuu SV!!!!
